We agree, as long as they mean weird as in genre-defying, personal, boundary-dissolving writing and art that's about eating, tasting, making, remembering, witnessing, telling and whatever category you place using tarot cards to end restaurant menu indecision and a list of food-related things saved to a phone, one of which is a photo of Dwayne The Rock Johnson with a stack of chocolate chip pancakes.
