Set an artful table with this 12-piece mix of Matisse and La Sirène. Each place setting pairs a Side Plate featuring one of Matisse’s Aquatint Portraits with a Dinner Plate and Ice Cream Bowl in La Sirène. The vivid blue plays against the portraits’ expressive black lines while nodding to the iconic blue gouache found throughout Matisse’s cut-out work.

"When I founded East Fork,it was a deliberate choice to leave Matisse out of the name. The legacy of my great-grandfather had followed me around for 20 years and I wanted out. I had a feeling that if I tucked myself away in the woods, something was going to emerge and it would free me. And so many years later, I slowly welcomed him back in.” - Alex Matisse

This collection is an ode to Henri Matisse, the great-grandfather of Alex Matisse, East Fork’s CEO and Founder.

East Fork worked in close collaboration with Les Héritiers Matisse to choose and translate Matisse’s artwork to our dinnerware.

Custom crafted decals are transferred onto our pottery by hand and fired at a low temperature in a special kiln.

Bold, playful and full of life, The Matisse Collection brings the work of Henri Matisse to East Fork pottery through a deeply personal collaboration with Les Héritiers Matisse. An ode to the great-grandfather of East Fork Founder and CEO Alex Matisse, the collection translates some of the artist’s most celebrated works onto familiar East Fork forms.
