Design

A genuine “farmhouse” skillet, inspired by American blacksmith design of the 18th and 19th century, the Smithey 12” carbon steel skillet is as much of a work of art as it is a cooking tool. Limited in nature and forged by hand, each Farmhouse Skillet is crafted by an artisan blacksmith in Charleston, SC. Each piece is unique. Carbon steel cookware is lightweight, hard-wearing, and conducts heat faster and more evenly than pretty much any other similar material. It's more versatile and easier to maneuver than cast iron, and way more durable than stainless steel, copper, and regular "non stick" cookware. Great for flipping cheesy omelettes, sauteeing veggies, or searing and cooking proteins of choice. Take it camping! Take it from the stove top to the broiler! The world is your oyster.
